About

RECONNECT is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded by Cliff Divine, dedicated to physically reconnecting as many people as possible across all borders through Laughter, Oneness, and Love. At the heart of this mission is Reconnectivism, a philosophy designed to spark a powerful, transformational ascension that reconnects individuals with themselves, with one another, and with the source of life itself.

The movement began in 2016 as CONNECT, a grassroots cal of Human Connectivity for Peace and Unity launched in the wake of the Paris terror attacks at the Bataclan. Co-founded by Cliff Divine and Manuel Frederick, CONNECT mobilized tens of thousands across Europe, numerous countries, and all 50 U.S. states, building bridges through schools, universities, churches, and communities. One of the earliest and most influential champions was Oscar-honored filmmaker and activist Euzhan Palcy, who accepted the role of “Godmother” of CONNECT from its very inception. Her voice and presence lent international weight, and together with Cliff she appeared at the United Nations, on KTLA Live, and inspired countless others to join the call for Human Connectivity. In her 2022 Oscar acceptance speech, Palcy publicly honored Cliff Divine and the CONNECT movement for their courage in spreading peace and activism through filmmaking across all 50 states.

Despite limited resources, CONNECT appeared on 33 major news outlets, including NBC, CBS, FOX, ABC, and KTLA, and earned support from leaders, celebrities and civil rights icons across society. But by 2024, as the world shifted, so too did the movement. Cliff Divine answered a renewed call: to evolve CONNECT into RECONNECT, grounded in deeper intention, broader reach, and a global LOVE vision.

The urgency of this evolution was sharpened by the COVID-19 pandemic (2019–2022), when isolation and disconnection gripped the world. Cliff’s uncle, Gérard Gesina, who had once taught him drums and storytelling, passed away from COVID, anchoring Cliff’s resolve to carry forward their shared legacy. At the same time, his meditation teacher, Sibongile West, a beloved Transcendental Meditation guide with over 40 years of experience, would end their meditation sessions with the words: “Love and Laughter, that is what the world needs most.” Her passing in 2022 became a final reminder to embody that truth.

During the original 50-state journey, Cliff not only spread peace, he also found true love. In Chicago, through a chain of serendipitous encounters, he met Megan Divine, whose laughter, depth, and vision instantly felt like destiny. What began as a chance meeting turned into an epic love story that proved the philosophy of human reconnection in the most personal and divine way. Cliff and Megan married in Malibu in 2019, and today, after six years of marriage, they embody RECONNECT’s core belief that the greatest proof of love is to live it. What better foundation for a global love movement than a couple rooted in true love?

Megan Divine now serves as Director of Wellness & Innovation at RECONNECT, bringing a decade of experience as an educator in Chicago’s South Side and in the communities of Compton and Watts, Los Angeles. She pioneered Social Emotional Learning and mindfulness initiatives in schools, and today, as a certified Human Design practitioner and life coach, she shapes RECONNECT’s global programs with compassion and creativity, proving every day that true leadership is rooted in love.

For 10 years of friendship, familyship, and collaboration, Euzhan Palcy and Cliff Divine have stood side by side, from CONNECT to RECONNECT, working to make the world more united and loving. Palcy has since become an Ambassador and Board Member of RECONNECT, continuing to amplify Cliff’s vision of Laughter, Oneness, and Love as a global healing force. Her continuity ensures that the spirit which gave birth to CONNECT remains alive and evolving in RECONNECT today. Cliff Divine is currently showrunning the docuseries Mm-Hmm! 50 States of Violence to Peace, executive-produced by Euzhan Palcy. The series chronicles his 50-state peace tour and the origins of what later became the Reconnect Movement. Through archival news footage and firsthand storytelling, it documents a journey that united communities across the United States through human connection and laid the foundation for Reconnect’s global message of Laughter, Oneness, and Love.

Supporting this vision is a creative family of artists and innovators who bring RECONNECT’s philosophy to life:

  • Franck Rapp – Music Director: Award-winning composer and sound designer, Franck created the CONNECT and RECONNECT anthems and now works with Cliff on the upcoming Reconnect Album. Their collaboration, often compared to Michael Jackson and Quincy Jones, embodies a deep creative brotherhood.

  • Irina De Assunçao – Design Director: A visionary graphic designer, Irina first connected with Cliff Divine after she competed against thousands of designers and won first prize for creating the original CONNECT logo. That emblem became a powerful symbol of Peace & Unity across the United States and worldwide. Today, she has also crafted the futuristic RECONNECT emblem, ensuring the movement remains instantly recognizable as a symbol of love, unity, and strength.

  • Sofiia Filippova – Film Editor: The newest member of the RECONNECT creative family, Sofiia has already made her mark by editing and shaping the video treatments for the 33 original CONNECT news clips. A passionate storyteller, she brings heart and precision to every frame, and she is eager to use her editing skills to help make the world a better, more connected place through RECONNECT.

Together, this team, Cliff and Megan Divine, Euzhan Palcy, Franck Rapp, Irina De Assunçao, and Sofiia Filippova, forms a movement of family, art, and love. Each brings their unique gifts, yet all share the same calling: to heal humanity, expand unity to all seven continents, and uplift the world one palm-to-palm reconnection at a time.
